About this page and me…

This year I turned 40 years old. I live in Northern California. This is my online journal, musings, and ravings for all to share. I have no clue as to what I will write about. I am just going to say whatever it is I need to in that moment.  The subjects will vary.  I don’t have a theme to stick to, any plan, agenda or even a point.  Those things are up to you to decide.

I am chronically and seriously Ill.  That is a part of my life but does not define who I am.  You would never know it if you saw me on the street.  I do not choose to live the life of someone who is disabled.  I see myself as Mostly Abled instead.  I live as best I can with the tools that God and life has given me.  Being ill has given me focus on what is truly important in life.  It has helped me to let go of the background noise and stress that most people drive themselves crazy with.

I enjoy reading, blogging, cooking (especially baking and cooking for others), entertaining in my home, I love to sing, I love music in general, I love the sunshine, and the moonlight.  I have a deep interest in world religions and psychology.  I study both.  I also study medicine as it relates to my diseases.   I am a very curious soul.  I have travelled all over the world.  I love to see how others live and to experience new things.

Anyway, I hope you will find something of interest here.  Come along for the ride…

  1. Hi Amber! Oh, it is so nice to have a face to match with an online friend! I took mine off my blog because people were linking my site to porn sites and I in no way wanted my face on there! Also, my blog was linked to my professional website and that just felt really uncomfortable for many reasons. If you want to see my photo you can find it on Cafe Crem, which is listed on my blog roll.
    Also about me (which I guess I should add to my blog) is that I am 56 years old, and live in Pennsylvania with my husband and 2 Maine Coon cats.

  2. I need to get my photo updated because last year when I had brain surgery they shaved my head and my hair is now short. Still you can see what I look like.

    But liked ur theme of the page. Its beautiful. Most interesting…on the right side, a hanging piece of paper says, ‘Today - I breath’. Liked it so much…I will soon go through your articles..

  11. I saw one of your comments on another blog where you said:

    The bible was compiled 600 years after the death of Jesus. This is a fact. Many concepts and amendments were made to the content and added to ensure the divinity of Christ during that time. This is also a fact.

    I am writing a book dealing with that very issue and I was hoping to get your permission to use that quote (without using your name). You worded the beliefs of one position very clearly and I was hoping to use it. I hope you are okay with that. Thanks.

  16. Thank you for your permission. The reason I am interested in your comments is the fact that we disagree. There is no point of me just reproducing what I and others of like faith believe unless I am respectively interacting with other opinions. I thought you nicely worded the other position and so I am happy to use it. I have one the sources you emailed me and I may get some of the others, although my book allowance is not unlimited, and these books are often not in a local library. Thanks for your help.
